Add images & videos to your blog

You can add photos, videos, and other images to your blog posts. When y'all add images to your blog, they're stored in a Google Album Annal.

Add an image to a blog post

Images uploaded to Blogger may be compressed and optimized for the web, which results in less data usage and faster load times for readers. These images volition not count against your Google storage quota. Currently there's no way to store large images in original quality on Blogger.

To add together an image to your blog post:

  1. Sign in to Blogger.
  2. In the top left, select a blog.
  3. Click the mail you want to edit or create a new post.
  4. At the pinnacle, click Insert epitomeInsert image.
  5. Choose from where you want to upload the epitome.
  6. Select one or more images and click Insert.
    • To change the size, caption, or alignment of the prototype after you add it, click the image.

Manage your images

Stop images from opening in an overlay

Lightbox lets images in your blog automatically open in a big overlay. If you don't want images to open in Lightbox:

  1. Sign in to Blogger.
  2. In the top left, select a web log.
  3. From the menu on the left, click Settings.
  4. Under "Posts," turn off Image lightbox.

Delete images from an anthology

To delete images from your albums, visit the Album Archive. From the Album Archive, you can manage your albums and images at any time.

Tip: If you add a photo to your blog from a private binder, a re-create is saved to the blog album in the Anthology Annal. To completely remove the photo, delete information technology from the private binder and the blog album.

Add a video to your weblog mail

  1. Sign in to Blogger.
  2. In the top left, select a weblog.
  3. Click the mail where you lot want to add a video.
  4. At the top, click Insert video Insert a video.

    • You can upload a video from your computer or choose a video from YouTube.

  5. Select a video and click Insert.

Manage your videos

  • If y'all're a web log owner: You can view, download, and delete all videos uploaded to your web log.
  • If you're a web log author: You can view, download, and delete videos that you've personally uploaded to your blog.

To download or delete a video:

  1. Sign in to Blogger.
  2. In the acme left, select a blog.
  3. From the menu on the left, click Settings.
  4. Under "Manage blog," click Videos from your blog.
  5. Select a video from your video library.
    • To delete it: click Delete.
    • To download information technology: click Download.

Prepare issues with images and videos

If you have issues when yous try to upload images or videos to your blog, try these steps:

  • Articulate your cache and cookies.
  • Turn your pop-upward blocker off or, in your browser settings, allow popular-ups from Blogger.com.
  • Plow off any plugins y'all've installed on your browser.
  • Make sure you've installed the latest version of your browser.
